Teachers of English
We have an opportunity for outstanding Teachers of English to join our team from either the 22nd April 2025 or 1st September 2025.
The English department is a committed team of passionate, experienced teachers with high expectations of ourselves and our classes. We aim to empower students with a mastery of language and to enrich them through the study of Literature, accessing a wide and varied curriculum in Key Stages 3 and 4.
You will join an enthusiastic, forward thinking and supportive team in an innovative environment.

Teacher of History

Teacher of Design Technology (Maternity Cover)
We have an opportunity for an outstanding Teacher to join the Design Technology department on a maternity cover basis. Ideally the successful candidate will have a specialism in teaching Textiles.
This position is:
- Temporary Maternity Cover;
- 0.8 FTE;
- Competitive Salary;
- Required from: 22nd April 2025, there is the possibility of an earlier start date;

Teaching Assistant
Due to an internal promotion, we have an opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join our Learning Support Team at Wyvern St Edmund's Academy.
We are particularly looking for a candidate who is organised, proactive and passionate about working in a school environment to support our students and enable their access to learning.
This position is:
- Permanent;
- Up to 30 hours per week, over 5 days;
- Term time only (39 weeks per year);
- Required for: As soon as available;
- Salary: MLP Grade D. FTE salary £24,597 Pro-rata salary £17,154.

Handyperson
We require a Handyperson to work with us at Wyvern St Edmund’s Academy. We require someone with a positive, "can do" attitude to work and who shares our pride and commitment in delivering an excellent learning environment for our students.
An ideal candidate will be someone who:
·Enjoys working in a busy and reactive environment
·Has relevant skills to undertake general maintenance and repair duties
This position is:
- Permanent
- Available for eitherTerm time only plus two weeks in school closure periods (41 weeks per year) or 52 weeks per year with holiday allowance;
- 37 hours per week;
- Salary: MLP Grade B, FTE salary £23,657. Pro-rata salary of £21,392;
